I AM A LEGEND IN CHRIST

We have watched and read stories of people who became heroes after fighting away evil, if you  notice it wasn’t easy from the start, they had to be able to sacrifice for others not considering themselves first, doing it willingly. A proud or boastful person cannot be a hero he or she has to be hardworking, honest, fearless and most importantly he has to be humble in serving others. Phili 2:1-11(Imitating Christ humility)

Being a Christian is a double duty unlike the secular heroes. Apart from helping those in need one also have to love and help his enemy; helping in a way by praying for him and sharing the gospel with him, Luke 6:27-28 (Love and pray for your enemies).
We are not just being called Christians as a nickname but as followers of Christ, thereby we are to be like him not as hypocrite but as real Christian. Sharing our faith and at the same time working on our self to know Christ more.

Always adhere to the fruit of the spirit Gal 5:22-23, the full Armour of God Ephesians 6:10-18.
Know your bible and don't get mislead-ed by false teachers Titus 1:10-11, don't misinterpret the bible go to your pastor for counseling when confused or instead meditate on your bible.

PEER GROUP INFLUENCE

As teenagers we have peers we hang with at home, in our churches and at schools. One’s peers could be age mate or not, but usually share the same interest.
One can be influenced by his peers in ways he might not be aware of, but this influence is noticed when he returns home or to his former environment, be it positive or negative. When we decide to change let it be in a positive way. Never change to please anyone unless it will not displease God.
Peer influence has become a common thing these days and it’s mostly experienced by young adult. But before you decide to change, think of the future; will you be proud of taking such a decision? Are you making a decision because of the support of your peers? How does your decision to change affect you physically, spiritually, emotionally, academically etc? But as young Christians we have to take our stand, we will be parents someday and won’t want our kids to be influenced into doing negative things.
So why not go for positive things as the bible says in Phillp4:8, things that we won’t come to regret later or wish we didn’t indulge in. We need to understand that we can’t please everyone so our focus should be in pleasing God, because if you keep on trying to please people you might end up not pleasing anyone and hurting yourself in the process. Therefore the best option is to be yourself and work at pleasing GOD.

HOW TO GET RID OF WORRY

Our life would be more happier if we could overcome worry. If by miracle we were assured to worry no more, it would seem like a new world altogether. When one worries a lot it ends up affecting their physical state causing them to be down with some health issues.

Worries which are also our troubles have a way of becoming more bigger when one reflect on them constantly, there by drifting one mind from his aimed goal causing him to be discouraged and being filled up with worries that might never happen.

We can avoid worrying by:
  • Learning to shut the gate; We worry likewise about decisions made in the past. Now, really what good is it to worry about a decision that has been made? For good or ill it is made, so why not put it out of mind? If it was wrong, charge it up to experience. If it was right, thank God for your wisdom. But good or bad shut the gate on it.
Set your worries down on a paper, those that have happen and those that have not happened, and I will venture the opinion that for most of us the latter greatly outnumber the former. It would be a wholesome idea to place the paper where you can see it when you retire each night. It will help you to sleep well, and in the morning it will give you courage and faith for the day.
  •  Taking a Cue from the Birds; Matt6:26, Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not much valuable than they?

WHAT DO YOU STAND FOR?

Everyone has a way of living, and is guided by a set of principles that governs his or her life. Some live by faith which the Bible defines in Heb:11 while other are so practical.

Some people don’t care about how the picture they give and how they live, while others are so conscious about how they are perceived. On a normal day our view of an individual differs based on our mind set. A person can be considered hardworking or lazy, sincere or insincere, based on the person’s perception.

The people we mostly find around us are those having similar character with us, just as its being said ‘’Birds of the same feather flock together’’. When it also comes to mass decision making, we are to be careful not to be among the wrong rally but on the right track in making the right choices.

Let make sure we stand firm on our principles and not to be diverted by minor things or certain circumstances, but instead let be known to be determine, courageous, diligent and other good characters that’s always been respected when recognized.

WHO ARE MY FRIENDS?

Friends are group of people or a person that we are fond of. We interact, share our life and joke with our friends. The questions we need to address about friends often times are; how will I know a true friend? Will my friend be sensitive to know when am in trouble? Will they be there for me when I need them?
It is easy to have so many friends or better still acquaintances, but only true friends are always there for you. These are the friends that should be cherished because it’s rare to find such people. A true friend is one that will sacrifice and share the last resource he has just to enable you for instance, have launch or go to school.
Friends are meant to be there for their mate when in need, to comfort, to counsel, to correct and also to support. No friend will see his mate going astray or doing the wrong thing without pointing it to them, although some friends might be afraid of the reaction but a true friend stands firm and is not afraid of offending his mate to correct a misstep.
Not to forget our number #1 friend who is JESUS, he is and will always be there for us even when we’ve being let down by MAN - Pslm27:10-14.
